The trays contain healing herbs mixed with coconut oil. On other locations of the form oils are rubbed into the drywall surface. The smell of the oils is noticeable when standing next to the form.

Boiled cabbage was placed in the satin sacks and its juice is strained into the trays below. The use of cabbage is a reference to a quote in Jean Genet’s, Miracle of the Rose, where he writes of “black crape cabbage” growing from his dead lover’s anus.

Boiled cabbage was placed on PVC pipe which funneled juice into ceramic containers below. The containers also held abstracted forms cast in coconut oil and herbs.

The ceramic tiles were modeled after a type of ancient roman bath tile called, tegula mammata, or “tile with nipples”. Each tile had 4 “nipples” on the bottom.
